Bahrain’s Manara Developments has announced that the master plan for its giant mixed-use waterfront project is at last complete.
At over two million square metres, Nurana – as the US $1 billion project is known – is set to include coastal villas and apartments, together with retail, entertainment, tourist and office facilities.
Reclamation work on the site, which overlooks Bahrain Fort near the upmarket area of Seef, has been estimated at $74 million (BD28 million).
“The project represents a world-class business, lifestyle and tourism destination that when complete will create hundreds of jobs and contribute greatly to the local economy,” said Dr. Hasan Al-Bastaki, Manara’s managing director.
“We are proud to be undertaking a development of this magnitude in Bahrain and are confident it will enhance the already strong business and lifestyle reputation that the Kingdom is enjoying among international markets,” he continued.
